Quality metal, feels very strong and works great for skiers/boarders. I have it on a 15' Whaler Sport boat and I can get my 240lb beginner body out of the water with only 60 hp using this. Boat handling and pulling out of the hole actually improved when compared to the transom mounted rope I had.
